This was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was OK (the coffee was terrible). The restaurant food was rather bad and possibly the worst I had in the country (cost-saving by using pre-bought jars of grilled vegetables, uninspiring meat - just generally not freshly made or tasty). |

Hotel Mangalemi is a family run hotel in a beautifull old building. We requested room with a view on an upper floor. Room 8 did indeed have a nice view of the mountains, but it was so hot when we were there that we chose to keep the blinds closed to keep the room cool. Air conditioning worked well. Excellent shower. Impeccably clean. Breakfast was off of the menu (3 choices - continental, vegetarian, etc.), and quite good. We also ate 2 dinners at the open-air restaurant, which were very good value. Loved their cold cucumber soup. |

the room was really nice and the aircon worked very well. our room was even serviced everyday and we had a fride in the room too. restaurant was good but the food was nothing special and the service very slow, even by albanian standards. one of the waiters took us on a tour of the town in english for 7.50 euro each which was very informative and he had good local knowledge. i would absolutley recommend this hotel to anyone going to berat. |
